About James Convenience Retail

James Retail was formed in 2015, with the acquisition of the former GT Retail business.
Subsequently in March 2016 we acquired First Stop News Limited, the holding company of Rippleglen, trading stores as Supernews and Maynews across the UK, creating one of the largest operators of Home News Delivery in the country.

With a strong core of neighbourhood convenience stores along with stores in 17 travel interchange locations, James Retail is a strong regional force in the independent convenience sector.

The business is managed by a dynamic team located at our Barlborough Office in North Derbyshire.

With a strong commitment for further growth, James Retail is looking for more locations to trade this very successful off licence-led convenience offer.
